We begin our journey by coach with local pick ups in the Manchester area. We then travel to Hull for our overnight ferry cruise to Rotterdam, with onboard buffet dinner and breakfast  included. This is a really relaxed way to travel and fun too, with a variety of onboard entertainment on offer. We arrive in Rotterdam the following morning nice and early ready for the next leg of our tour.

Refreshed we set off for our short journey to Amsterdam. We will spend 4-5 hours exploring the sights of this beautiful city.

Amsterdam is one of the greatest small cities in the world. From the iconic canals to world-famous  museums and historical  sights, it is easily one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe. Canal cruises are a popular way to see the city from the perspective of its canals.

Amsterdam is also a city of tolerance and diversity. It has all the advantages of a big city, rich culture, international restaurants, good transport - but is quiet, and largely thanks to its extensive canals, has a little road traffic. In this city your destination is never far away, perhaps rent a bike for an authentic local experience in this city designed for cyclists.

After enjoying Amsterdam we make for our 4 star Hotel Waalwijk, a short distance from Efterling. Tuesday and Wednesday we have tickets for Efteling and the short journey will take us to the park to explore every corner. It takes 2 days to fully appreciate everything Efterling has to offer

Holland's hidden gem Efteling is a unique theme park with a fairytale atmosphere, natural surroundings and a wide range of thrilling and enchanting attractions, making it the ideal family short-break destination.  The atmosphere is amazing throughout Efterling, you constantly feel like you are in a fairy tale, the park is a mythical village.

There's no need to bring your own food, as there are tons of restaurants, booths and fast-foods around the park, offering delicious food at very affordable prices - sometimes even lower than in the cities around Efteling

The rides are organized on different themes themselves and the food that you can find next to attractions has the same origin as the theme of the rides. For example, next to a Arabic-themed attraction there is a kebab restaurant, next to the Pagoda there is a noodle bar, etc.

What is the current waiting time for 'Joris en de Draak'? What time does the 'Raveleijn parkshow' start? The Efteling-app provides you with up-to-date information throughout your visit. See which restaurants are open, where the nearest toilets are and how tall you need to be to ride in 'Baron 1898'.

Thursday we set off for Rotterdam and go via Antwerp were we will spend some leisure time.

This charming city is Belgiums capital of cool. It's long been a powerful magnet for everyone from fashion moguls and club queens to art lovers and diamond dealers. In the mid-16th century it was one of Europe’s most important cities and home to baroque superstar painter Pieter Paul Rubens, as you’ll be regularly reminded – there are numerous places to admire his works across the city. Despite many historical travails thereafter and severe WWII bombing, Antwerp retains an intriguing medieval heart with plenty of café-filled cobbled lanes, a riverside fortress and a truly impressive cathedral. Today Antwerp’s top drawcards are its truly vibrant fashion and entertainment scene, along with its startling architectural and cultural contrasts.

After our excursion to Antwerp we continue to Rotterdam and  board our ferry for the overnight crossing back to the UK,  buffet meal and breakfast again included.
After disembarking in  Hull on Friday morning we set off for Manchester and we should be home around lunchtime.
