When it comes to an image of idyllic rural England, few regions in Great Britain can compare to the sleepy, honey-stoned village image of the Cotswolds. Here time seems to slow down, where age-old traditions and local life remain comparatively undisturbed. During our short break we pass through many of the pretty villages before arriving at our hotel . The Three Ways House Hotel is the famous home to The Pudding Club, founded in 1985 to prevent the demise of the traditional Great British pudding, and over the years they have been featured on the BBC’s Food and Drink Show and holiday programmes. Oh and yes you do get to sample of the puddings!

The hotel is nestled in the pretty village of Mickleton and boasts an elegant lounge, Randalls Bar/Brasserie and The Restaurant. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite facilities, telephone, colour TV, radio, hairdryer and courtesy tea trays. The hotel doesn’t have a lift however there are a number of ground floor rooms suitable for the less able guests.

Wednesday: Following a morning departure from Manchester we head for Waddesdon Manor where we will spend the remainder of the afternoon. We will be able to sample first hand Christmas at Waddesdon Manor with its magical lights and the gardens aglow. As twilight falls see the gardens sparkle even more brightly with spectacular light displays bringing the extraordinary landscape to life. Watch the spectacle of the Manor’s façade illuminated with dancing lights set to sequenced music. Soak up the sights, smells and sounds of

Christmas with hand-selected stalls all housed in charming wooden chalets, surrounded by twinkling trees.

Sadly, we have to say farewell to Waddesdon Manor and make our way to the Three Ways Hotel, Mickleton. After check-in, we have a little time to settle in, before being served a late dinner.

Thursday: After a relaxing breakfast we head out into the Cotswolds. The exact itinerary has yet to be

finalised, but with Cheltenham and the picturesque villages

of Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipton-on-Stour close by, we're sure a relaxing day out will be had by all.

Dinner tonight will be at The Pudding Club, Three Ways House Hotel.

Friday: After breakfast we sadly say farewell to Mickleton and make our way to Birmingham and the German

Christmas Markets.  Birmingham's Christmas Market is the largest authentic German market outside Germany and Austria and the centrepiece of the city’s festive event calendar. The Birmingham German market brings a fabulous atmosphere to the city and an even better aroma!

Here we will have time to grab a bite to eat, get some retail therapy, drink a Gluwein or just explore what the the city has to offer.

Mid-afternoon we will head back home making a comfort stop en-route, where we aim to arrive in the Manchester area early evening.
