Spring Plate

Spring Plate @ High Legh GC & AGM
Designed originally by Mark James and international course architect Steve Marnoch, High Legh’s signature Championship 18 Hole golf course delivers a true test of golf to players of all abilities. The matured, marvellous and must play par 70 track is situated in a perfect private Cheshire parkland setting. The course is continually cared for all year round and always plays at its best, as each green was constructed to the highest standard of the USGA green specifications and is therefore regarded as Cheshire’s must play golf course.

Portland Cup @Houghwood GC
Magnificent panoramic views over the Lancashire plain and the Welsh hills makes Houghwood an interesting course to play. At par 71 and 6388 yards for men, and 5341 yards par 71 for ladies, it provides a stimulating and pleasurable test of skill.
The large greens built to USGA specification are probably the finest in the area and a permanent track allows the use of the large fleet of buggies and trolleys the whole year round. Visitors whether groups, societies or individuals are all welcome at Houghwood. Please note we are a soft spike course.

Captains Cup

Captains Day @ Werneth GC
Founded in 1909 the golf course and clubhouse is located on the south side of Oldham, Greater Manchester in a conservation area known as the Garden Suburb. This once semi-moorland course has been modified over the last 100 years and now boasts several tree lined fairways and many added bunkers. The course is set in 62 acres of land which probably makes It one of the smallest 18 hole courses in acreage in the North West. However don't be fooled by the size, with its small greens and narrow fairways it is still a testing course for all levels of golfers. After a not too exhausting round you can retire to the clubhouse where a warm Lancashire hospitality awaits. Renowned for its friendliness and relaxed atmosphere in the area, you can enjoy a bar snack or meal, together with a drink from a well stocked bar.

Jeff Hindle Memorial Cup @ Bury GC
Designed By Alister Mackenzie, Charles Alison. Built in 1890, Bury Golf Club welcomes golfers at all levels and offers a friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy a course containing some classic holes including 3 designed with the famous McKenzie two-tier greens.
Although not long at 6063 yards the course requires accuracy more than length in order to score well.

Autumn Cup

The Autumn Cup @ Heaton Moor GC
Heaton Moor Golf Club celebrated its Centenary in 1992. From 9-hole beginnings on leased land, our ‘Oasis in Suburbia’ – an 18 hole, 6000 yd par 70 course and well-developed Clubhouse – is now wholly owned by its members and is guaranteed to provide a local and friendly golfing facility for the future.
Set in a mature and protected conservation area, the gently undulating parkland course has two separate 9 holes starting from the Clubhouse. As a member and if time is short, the layout lends itself to playing just a few holes, if preferred, since there are several starting points. On a light summer evening it is hard to resist slipping out for ‘a bit of practice’ and you always have the added comfort of knowing that you are never more than a short walk from the 19th!
