Bridlington Area Golf tour 19th - 22nd June 2023

Accomodation: The Expanse Hotel, BridlingtonThe Expanse is a hotel with a feel of its own, this may be partly dictated by its superb location, but mostly because it is still owned and managed by the same family that built it. Golf CoursesWe will be playing at 4 golf courses, Hornsea, Scarborough South, Flamborough Head and Bridlington Links |
![]() |
Hornsea GCThe course is a traditional links design, with the first seven holes running outward towards the iconic water tower. A double loop of five holes, brings the golfer to Hornsea’s famous inward stretch, possibly the finest six finishing holes in the county. Hornsea is a member of both the Alister MacKenzie and James Braid Golf Associations. Both these famous Golf Course Architects suggested course alterations in the early 1900’s and the club implemented some of their ideas. Due to this we have joined both of their golf societies which enables Hornsea members to enjoy the benefits |

Scarborough South GCThe course falls into two parts, divided by the main road from Scarborough to Filey. On the seaward side of the road lie the fourth to tenth holes. On the land-ward side the first three holes and the last eight are laid out along the bottom of the rolling valley stretching southwards into the hills and on the slope of the ridge to the East. The greatest charm of the course is the glorious situation of the holes on the cliff, looking down on the South Bay and Scarborough Town on the one side and along the bold and rugged coastline towards Filey on the other. The two parts of the course make a pleasant contrast and both provide some excellent golf. The turf, even on the cliffs, is of the down-land rather than the seaside type and provides excellent lies for the fairway wood slots.A great attraction to visitors is the inspiring view of the shore and sea. An exhilarating fresh breeze is never wholly absent even on the calmest of days and which at other times can add a new hazard to the testing quality of the course. |

Flamborough Head GCThank you for visiting the website of the ‘Friendliest Club on the Coast’. Flamborough Head Golf Club is an 18 hole cliff top links course that has been carefully moulded around the contours of the famous headland which gives the Club its name. Experience the game of golf the way it was meant. The golf course provides both a good test of your golfing skills and an enjoyable experience for Members and Visitors of all abilities throughout the year. The unwary can be forgiven for standing on the 1st tee and being deceived by the apparent gentleness of the view across the course. |

Bridlington GCThe 6719 yard, par 72 course has a distinctive links feel and there’s also a driving range and a 9 hole course for those feeling less energetic.
