Christmas is a wonderful time of year, especially at Chatsworth. Every winter the house is adorned with spectacular Christmas displays guaranteed to raise the festive spirit. From the moment you arrive you will step into a winter wonderland with one of Europe’s most significant art collections as a backdrop.
Chatsworth, the magnificent home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is set in the heart of the Peak District National Park in
Derbyshire, on the banks of the river Derwent. There are more than 30 beautifully decorated rooms to explore, a 105-acre garden famous for its historic and modern waterworks and sculptures, and a 1,000-acre park, designed by ‘Capability’ Brown in the 1760s.
Select rooms on the upper floor of the house will be closed for annual conservation during the Christmas season.
